Diagnostic Imaging & Ultrasound
Central Florida Bone and Joint Institute has digital X ray in office. We use this to diagnose orthopedic conditions like osteoarthritis, joint pain, or fractures. X rays are good for creating images of the bones and the spaces between the bones. X rays are not as useful at looking at soft tissue such as muscles, tendons, cartilage. Depending on the injury, the orthopedic specialist may recommend obtaining an X-ray during your appointment.
Images of X rays, MRI’s, and Cat Scans taken outside of our facility, along with the test report must be brought to your appointment.
Central Florida Bone and Joint Institute uses ultrasound as a noninvasive way to accurately deliver shots or find injuries such as rotator cuff tears.
Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
Central Florida Bone and Joints Institute uses state of the art ultrasound technology which can be used as a safe and noninvasive way to very accurately deliver shots and aid in aspirations of fluid, thereby minimizing patient discomfort and the time required for such procedures.
Ultrasound also provides real time and dynamic images of joints, tendons and ligaments in motion to help diagnose common orthopedic problems such as rotator cuff tears, biceps tendon rupture or Achilles tendon rupture.
